Bachelor of Music Program in Thai Music
This program aims to produce graduates with comprehensive knowledge and expertise in both the performance and academic aspects of Thai Music. Graduates will be prepared to pursue advanced studies and research in music, possess a positive attitude towards Thai arts and culture, and be able to live meaningfully and appropriately in society, consistent with the current global context.
Program Highlights
The program emphasizes the study and development of knowledge in Thai music theory, performance practice, and music research. A key focus is the study of music culture in the Lower Northern region of Thailand.
(Note: The curriculum is scheduled for a major revision in the 2018 academic year, based on the new program philosophy: “Music leads life towards science and art for national creative development.” The degree name will also be formally changed to Bachelor of Music (Thai Music).)
