Vision and Strategy

Strategy for the Development of the Faculty of Humanities 2023-2027

The administrative approach of the Faculty of Humanities adheres to the principle of supporting the vision: “University for Entrepreneurial Society” and the 5-pillar Strategic Plan of Naresuan University 1. Quality Entrepreneurship Oriented Education, 2. Global and Frontier Research, 3. Knowledge Transfer for Engagement Society, 4. Cultural Ecosystem Service, and 5. Sustainability Organization).

This approach takes into account the 20-Year National Strategy Framework (B.E. 2561-2580), the 20-Year National Education Plan (B.E. 2560-2579), the Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation Policy and Strategy (B.E. 2563-2570), and feedback from stakeholders.

This serves as a framework for strategically defining the faculty’s administrative guidelines to drive the Faculty of Humanities toward excellence, enabling it to utilize its potential to contribute significantly to society and act as a compass for the executive board, faculty members, and staff to work cohesively towards the same developmental direction. The guidelines are as follows:

Vision

The center of learning and research in the areas of Humanities that is internationally recognized in order to be a community learning space for all

Mission

  1. Implementing a new model of quality education with international standards to produce graduates who possess Global Citizen skills and to increase learning opportunities that people of all generations.
  2. Conducting research and producing innovations that meet internationally recognized quality and standards, establishing collaborative networks with all sectors, and focusing on integration into teaching and learning and academic services to sustainably strengthen communities.
  3. Establishing a database of knowledge in the Humanities and disseminating knowledge to the public to serve as an academic resource for communities and the entrepreneurial society.
  4. Fostering awareness of national art and cultural conservation, promoting knowledge management concerning cultural wisdom), and integrating it with academic services to leverage it into the creative economy.
  5. Managing with the principle of balance, under the framework of good governance and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), while being prepared to cope with the changing context

Goal

  1. To produce quality graduates who align with the unique identity and desirable attributes of the curricula, meeting the demands of the global labor market, as well as creating educational opportunities for learners of all ages by establishing collaborative networks with various institutions both domestically and internationally.
  2. To support and develop research to achieve international quality standards, and to focus on promoting area-based research towards sustainable community development, as well as to lead the network in creating a learning space along the East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC).
  3. To establish a database on language and art and culture, so that communities and entrepreneurs can utilize the information to create value in both social and economic aspects.
  4. To develop the Faculty into a livable organization (: Heart-warming and Hopeful Organization).

Pledge:

 The Faculty of Humanities is committed to creating human resources fully equipped with moral and ethical potential, and intellectual skills in the Humanities, to foster mutual understanding and enable peaceful and sustainable coexistence in Thai society, the ASEAN Community, and the Global Community.
