On 20 July 2026, the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities, Naresuan University, organized an English Skill Development Program on English for Legal Purposes entitled “Beyond the Classroom: Legal English and Career Paths” for fourth-year students majoring in English. The event was held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Suwannaphingkhan Room, Faculty of Humanities, Naresuan University.
The activity aimed to enhance students’ knowledge and English-language skills relevant to the legal profession. It also provided them with an opportunity to exchange ideas and learn directly from a legal professional, while inspiring them and broadening their perspectives on career paths that combine English proficiency with legal knowledge.
The Department was honored to welcome Mr. Theerawut Thongtab, Chair of the Bachelor of Laws Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Local Development, Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, as the guest speaker. His lecture covered the importance of English in the legal profession, legal career paths that require English, the structure of the Thai legal system, and the English-language skills essential for legal work. The knowledge gained from this lecture will be beneficial to the students’ future studies and professional careers.
