Faculty of Humanities Welcomes KOICA Thailand Delegation to Strengthen Korean Language Education Partnership

On Monday, 3 August 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Onusa Suwanpratest, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Naresuan University, together with Dr. Patawee Promsen, Assistant Dean, faculty members from the Korean Program, Department of Eastern Languages, and representatives of the programme, welcomed a delegation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Thailand Office to the Faculty of Humanities.

The delegation was led by Mr. Park Junoh, Program Manager, and included Mr. Pakin Angsuphan, Program Officer, and Mr. Wonje Woo, a Korean Language Teaching Volunteer. The visit provided an opportunity to formally introduce Mr. Wonje Woo, who will begin his teaching placement at the Faculty of Humanities as part of KOICA’s Korean language education volunteer programme.

During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on the implementation of the volunteer programme, discussed mechanisms for supporting the volunteer’s teaching activities, and explored future collaborative initiatives to further enhance Korean language education at Naresuan University. The discussions also reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between the Faculty of Humanities and KOICA Thailand Office and their shared commitment to advancing academic cooperation and intercultural exchange.

Through this collaboration, students in the Korean Program will benefit from increased opportunities to develop their language proficiency, deepen their understanding of Korean culture, and engage in authentic learning experiences with native Korean language educators. The partnership reflects the Faculty’s ongoing commitment to internationalization and to providing students with a high-quality learning environment that prepares them for global engagement.
